Other retractable landing gear systems consist of several parts, which makes them sensitive and increases the likelihood of failure.
Our monoblock main frame gives the system enormous robustness and guarantees smooth, reliable operation and a long service life.
We mill the main frame and parts from a solid block of AW 7075 T6* (*aircraft-grade aluminum) and anodize them to ensure adequate protection against oxidation/corrosion.

BETTER PERFORMANCE

Thanks to a thread developed by Electron Retracts, the square thread spindle generates a completely axial force and offers up to 25% more efficient performance than a conventional spindle.
The spindle of the classic models is made of brass, the handle of aluminum—a successful combination to reduce the coefficient of friction and increase performance.

The reasons for the design
In order to transfer the thrust with maximum efficiency and stability, the spindle must be guided at both ends (1). This can only be achieved with a fixed (2), non-tilting design, which until now has only been offered by Electron Retracts.
Thanks to the design of the main frame, the slider is protected at the end of its travel range (3), so that the impact energy during landing is transferred completely to the frame, preventing damage to the spindle and slider.

REVERSIBLE DESIGN
Adaptable to different situations
Depending on your specific model, the retractable landing gear may need to be folded backward or forward. Thanks to our unique design, this can be achieved by simply removing the pivot pin and turning it around. This process takes only a few minutes and does not affect the warranty.
